In Memorium: Rev. Dr. Robert Dickie “Chip” Nix, Jr.

The Rev. Dr. Robert Dickie Nix, Jr., 65, passed away in his Austin, Texas home Thursday, September 20, 2007 after a brief battle with cancer. Better known to all as Chip, he is survived by his wife, Carol, and his two daughters, Joanna, 30, of Ambridge, PA and Joy, 26, of Austin, TX. An Episcopal priest, Chip’s career in ministry began in 1971, when he became one of the first two staff members of the CCO, reaching out to students at Allegheny College until 1973.
