My husband, Glenn Griffin, and I are living in Uniontown, Ohio, and I am currently serving Mount Union College as an Assistant Professor of Religion.

I have just signed a contract with Wipf & Stock publishers to have my dissertation published in the coming months. The title is Practicing Discipleship: Lived Theologies of Nonviolence in Conversation with the Doctrine of the United Methodist Church. That’s a mouthful, I know, but the gist of it is an intersection of ecclesiology, social ethics, and questions of discipleship. It’s a bit on the “technical” side because it’s a dissertation, but the folks who have read it have said it’s accessible, timely, and raises some important questions for the church in terms of how it deals with social questions and calls people to greater faithfulness around those issues.

I could give a rip about royalties. :) My hope is that it would get into enough hands to encourage some conversations in the wider church around the topic. Any interest out there?
