Emily Garrity to work with Marietta College students

(Pittsburgh) July 3, 2008 — Emily Garrity has joined the CCO (Coalition for Christian Outreach) to reach out to students at Marietta College in cooperation with First Baptist Church in Marietta, Ohio, where she will serve as Director of Children’s Ministry.

Emily graduated in May 2008 from Waynesburg University, where she majored in Biblical and Ministry Studies. “I am really on board with how the CCO does ministry,” she says. “I believe that this organization continues to walk with students in a way that is full of integrity and hope.”

Emily is particularly excited about becoming a part of the Marietta community. “When I first visited there, some women on campus really spoke about the need that there is for a female campus minister. I could not believe that I was called to fill this spot! I know that the college years hold so much excitement, but also many difficult seasons. I hope to point the way to Christ for these students, so that they might discover their true identity.”

The CCO is a campus ministry organization which partners with churches, colleges and organizations to develop men and women who live out their Christian faith in every area of life. The CCO’s core purpose is “transforming college students to transform the world.”
