The CCO welcomes Elliott Simko

(Pittsburgh) July 9, 2008 — Elliott Simko has joined the CCO (Coalition for Christian Outreach) to reach out to students at Haverford College and surrounding universities through his role as Young Adult Leader at Manoa Presbyterian Church.

Elliott graduated from Eastern University in 2008 with a communications degree.

“I’m choosing to work for the CCO because I strongly believe in their mission to transform college students to transform the world,” says Elliott. “Having just graduated college myself, I know first-hand the ability and determination of young adults. From what I can tell, the world does not expect much from us; we have been called party-ers, slackers, immature, irresponsible, and spoiled. I want to share the message of Jesus Christ and His gospel with college students, encouraging them not to settle for the stereotypical life expected of a college student, but to strive for something higher and more meaningful.”

The CCO is a campus ministry organization which partners with churches, colleges and organizations to develop men and women who live out their Christian faith in every area of life. The CCO’s core purpose is “transforming college students to transform the world.”
