(Pittsburgh) July 22, 2008 — Rachel Foose has joined the CCO (Coalition for Christian Outreach) to reach out to students at Penn State Altoona in partnership with the Commonplace Coffeehouse & Roastery.
Rachel graduated from Colorado Christian College in 2005, where she majored in psychology and minored in youth ministry. She just returned from an eight-month graduate school program in Israel, where she completed her first year toward a Master of Arts in Biblical Studies.
“I went to deepen my understanding of the Old Testament and Jewish culture by studying the Bible in the context in which is what written,” says Rachel. “I am excited to integrate what I learned into my life and ministry at Penn State Altoona.
“College was such a formative time in my life. It is a time and place where students engage ideas and opportunities that will ultimately determine who they are. In this context, I want to be a voice of hope and love to students in the hope that they will find their identity in Christ.”
The CCO is a campus ministry organization which partners with churches, colleges and organizations to develop men and women who live out their Christian faith in every area of life. The CCO’s core purpose is “transforming college students to transform the world.”
