(Pittsburgh) July 29, 2008 — Heather Strong has joined the CCO (Coalition for Christian Outreach) to reach out to students at Slippery Rock University in partnership with Grace Anglican Church.
Heather graduated from Messiah College in 2005 with a degree in psychology.
“I have been familiar with the CCO for several years now, but it wasn’t until I became involved in leading Grace Anglican’s student outreach that I began to consider the possibility of joining staff,” says Heather. “The church has a deep passion for reaching college students with the message of the gospel and I realized that if I was going to most effective in that ministry I would need to devote more time to the position and I would benefit from further training. The CCO shares this passion for ‘transforming college students to transform the world,’ and joining CCO staff became an obvious solution. The church has been extremely supportive and excited about this decision. New Staff Training was very helpful and inspiring and I am eager to get on campus and start meeting students!”
The CCO is a campus ministry organization which partners with churches, colleges and organizations to develop men and women who live out their Christian faith in every area of life. The CCO’s core purpose is “transforming college students to transform the world.”
