CCO staff participate in 8th annual Kayak-a-thon

(Pittsburgh) October 30, 2008 — (Pittsburgh) The Outdoor Leadership Team of the CCO (Coalition for Christian Outreach) will be hosting its 8th Annual Fall Kayak-a-thon this Saturday, November 1, 2008.

The CCO is a ministry that partners with churches, colleges, and other organizations to develop men and women who live out their faith in every area of life.

The Kayak-a-thon is a fundraiser in which paddlers kayak as many miles on the three rivers of Pittsburgh as they can in one day. Proceeds help to enable the Outdoor Leadership Team invest in students’ lives by suspending the normal rhythms of campus life through adventure activities.

To donate, visit the CCO’s website at http://www.ccojubilee.org, click on “Donate”, then “Give Online.”  From the “Special Mission Initiatives” dropdown menu, select “OLT Kayak-a-thon.” Sponsors include Exkursion Outfitters and School of Mountaincraft in Monroeville, PA.
