Jubilee 2009…what now?

The Westin Hotel and Convention Center in downtown Pittsburgh was brimming with more than 2,300 college students attending Jubilee 2009.

This year’s theme was “Every Square Inch.” Students gathered together to hear speakers, musicians, and attend workshops that required them to think about what it looks like for God to pervade every area of their lives.

With so many social media avenues available for students to use, it’s never been easier to hear their stories straight from them. Living Jubilee is a website created to keep the conversation about Jubilee going. Students can add comments, share stories and dialogue with one another about what it means to manifest Jubilee on their campuses and in their lives. It serves as continual inspiration for students to stay connected.

As an extension of Jubilee, another website was created called At Jubilee that tracked events occurring at Jubilee as they were happening. At Jubilee uses various blogs, Twitter and Flickr’d as a live feed for students to access to gain current information about speakers’ presentations, concerts and photographs that were taken moments before they were posted to the site.
