CCO’s Jonathan Weyer wins multicultural award for OSU event

(Pittsburgh) May 11, 2009 – CCO staff member Jonathan Weyer’s I Sold My Soul on eBay program is the recipient of the Multicultural Center Staff Intercultural Award from The Ohio State University.

The event was created as a discussion forum between atheists and Christians. Jay Gameline, pastor of Jacob’s Porch, and Hemant Mehta, author of I Sold My Soul on eBay, engaged in public dialogue about their varying beliefs with questions asked by audience members. Jonathan co-moderated the event with Ashley Paramore, a non-religious OSU student.

Jonathan and Ashley are being recognized for their important work within the community and are being acknowledged for this significant initiative related to the Multicultural Center mission and values.

The annual awards ceremony is being held on Monday, May 18, 2009 from 4-6:30p.m at the Longaberger Alumni House at OSU.

The CCO is a campus ministry organization which partners with churches, colleges and organizations to develop men and women who live out their Christian faith in every area of life. The CCO’s core purpose is “transforming college students to transform the world.”
