What Board member Lori Stuckey says about the CCO

stuckey_lori.jpgI think the CCO is the best Christian ministry to college students today, because of their approach on emphasizing discipleship along with vocation, their integration instead of competition with other Christian ministries on the same campus, their emphasis of connecting students to churches and Christian networks within their communities, and their relational approach.

I first became involved with the CCO at Penn State Altoona about 15 years ago. I feel strongly that the best way to impact our society for Christ’s kingdom is to impact young people, especially high school and college-aged, because this is the time in everyone’s life that they make the most decisions that affect the direction of their life. The CCO does an excellent job of helping college students understand the biblical Christian faith and of integrating that faith with both their vocational choices and their real-world experiences.
