When Westley Gaddis arrived at Kent State in August of 2003, he hoped to find Christian fellowship opportunities. He was captain of his high school track team during his senior year of high school, and he joined Kent’s track team. He was invited by a teammate to attend the Fellowship of Christian Athletes group on campus, and as a result, he met CCO staff worker Ted Schumacher.
“Ted definitely encouraged me to seek out a ministry, and not to slack off,” Westley says. “He encouraged me to be a leader and taught me that it’s a blessing to meet people and share my faith with them, while at school and beyond.”
