(Pittsburgh) January 4, 2011—The Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI) brought in the New Year by announcing for the ninth consecutive year that the Coalition for Christian Outreach (CCO) is one of the 2011 Best Christian Workplaces in the US.
Every year organizations around the country participate in the anonymous BCW survey. The survey measures employee job satisfaction, employee organizational commitment, supervisory effectiveness, opportunities for personal growth and development, teamwork and fairness of pay and benefits.
When asked what makes the CCO great, one employee explained, “I love the integrity and character of our leadership; I am well-led. I think our vision and purpose are thoroughly, deeply and beautifully Biblical.”
“It’s an honor to be named, for the 9th consecutive year, as one of the Best Christian Workplaces,” says Vince Burens, executive vice president of the CCO. “This award is based off of what our staff think about the CCO and how we are doing in moving toward our mission. It indicates that we are accomplishing our goal at the leadership level; which is to help best serve our staff so that they can effectively serve students on college and university campuses.”
The CCO is an organization committed to transforming college students to transform the world. They partner with churches, colleges and organizations to develop men and women who live out their Christian faith in every area of life. The CCO employs 224 people across 90 college campuses.
