How did Jubilee change how you see yourself?
Jubilee 2011 is now in the history books, a weekend that promised, audaciously, that “it could change everything.” For some students, it already has.
Here is one from-the-gut reflection from a college student about how the Jubilee conference was a catalyst for change:
How did Jubilee change how you see yourself?
I always thought that I could make a difference on my campus or wherever I go because God had already done enough in me. I thought, “I’m changed enough, I can change something else now.” The reality is that there is no moment when we go from a bad person who can’t change the world to a good person who can. The thing that changes is who’s running the show.
I realize now that I cannot change the world because I am all of a sudden good, or have integrity, or am nothing like the world. I can now change the world because I have faith that God can change the world through me. I can change the world because I put Jesus in charge of my life.
Have you made a decision to do something different as a result of what you experienced at Jubilee 2011?
Change myself, change my ministry group, change my campus, change the world!
