(Pittsburgh) January 3, 2012—For the tenth straight year, the CCO (Coalition for Christian Outreach) has been recognized as a Best Christian Workplace. The award is given out annually by the Best Christian Workplaces Institute (BCWI) to recognize outstanding Christian workplaces.
Each year, employees from organizations around the country participate in the anonymous BCW survey. The survey measures employee job satisfaction, employee organizational commitment, supervisory effectiveness, opportunities for personal growth and development, teamwork and fairness of pay and benefits.
“The Best Christian Workplaces Institute has been a huge blessing to us,” says CCO Executive Vice President Vince Burens. “Our leadership takes these surveys very seriously. We want to know what our staff think about our organization. We want to know where we need to grow, but also where we’re succeeding.”
The BCWI believes that Christian workplaces should set the standard as the best, most effective workplaces in the world. The Institute conducted its first survey in the fall of 2002 with the purpose of helping leaders of Christian organizations improve their culture.
The CCO is an organization committed to transforming college students to transform the world. They accomplish this by partnering with churches, colleges and organizations to develop men and women who live out their Christian faith in every area of life. The CCO employs 212 people serving at 87 college campuses in the mid-Atlantic region of the United States.
