Melissa Kellner has come on board with CCO for the 2012-13 school year as an intern, reaching out to students at Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania. Melissa will be working alongside CCO staff member Philip Schiavoni as the Jubilee Team Coordinator.
Melissa recently graduated from Geneva College with a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services. Prior to joining the CCO, Melissa worked at Summer’s Best Two Weeks as a camp counselor and also as Executive Coordinator of Student Activities at Geneva. Melissa knows first-hand how formative the college experience can be, and she now looks to make a change in the lives Shippensburg students.
“College has been one of the best experiences I have had in my life,” says Melissa. “College allows a student to learn, make more friendships, handle struggles, and how to have constant freedom. Knowing how crucial college is for a person gives me the desire to transform students to transform the world. My desire is to allow time for students to sit and talk about struggles, hurts, and where they want to go.”
