Featured Student of the Week: Matthew Molinari
Penn State University Class of 2014, security and risk analysis major
After two tours of duty in Afghanistan with the Air Force, Matthew Molinari showed up at Penn State University in the fall of 2010. Having made a commitment to Christ while in the service, Matt was looking to connect with a Christian group on campus. After meeting CCO staff member Steve Lutz at a student activities fair on campus, he checked out several Christian groups, including Elements where he felt like he’d found a home.
At 25, Matt is older than the traditional college student, but he is eager to connect with fellow Christian students. He did not grow up in the church and, being young in his faith, he is hungry to grow. The staff and students at Elements have welcomed Matt into their community, and Steve actively helps him figure out where and how he can serve and lead.
