CCO welcomes Josh Thompson to renew ministry at Butler County Community College

Grove City graduate Josh Thompson has joined CCO staff to take on the challenge of rebuilding a CCO presence among students at Butler County Community College, or “BC3.”

“The CCO exemplifies the things that I have always desired to see in a campus ministry,” Josh says. “Jesus came to earth to seek and save the lost, and I am so excited to have the opportunity to do the same thing. I am excited to work with students at Butler County Community College (BC3), since there is such a wide range of students attending community college, from the high school student in an accelerated learning program to the retiree who is taking a class to learn a skill.”

Josh is uniquely qualified to reach out to community college students, as he was one himself. For three years during high school, he also attended Anne Arundel Community. While he was there, he could not find a well-established campus ministry which was welcoming and accessible.

“My goal at BC3 is to holistically shape the lives of students through the power of the gospel” Josh says. “I look forward to building relationships with students, investing in their lives, and coming alongside them during in this transitional time.”
