New staff member Mike Swanson will reach the world from Penn State
Pittsburgh native Mike Swanson is reaching out to international students at Penn State University through an internship during the 2012-13 school year.
Mike graduated from Grove City College in May, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy. During his time in college Mike came to understand what an important time college is in the life of a young person.
“I want to work with college students because I understand the gravity of the influence that the college years can have on a young person’s life,” he says. “I understand the struggles of going to college and not fully understanding yourself.
“I hope to show through example and word that the college years are a time to cultivate the mind, body, and spirit and that doing so rooted in the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ is the most fulfilling thing a person can do. I am blessed to have the opportunity to show the love of Jesus Christ to students searching for it in a hostile world.”
