Featured Student of the Week: Julie Gallagher

Duquesne University, class of 2015, doctor of physical therapy program

Julie Gallagher knew she would be involved in the CCO’s ministry even before she stepped foot on Duquesne University’s campus. As a high school student participating in an inner-city mission at The Pittsburgh Project, she met a Duquesne student who told her about it. Early in her first semester, she attended Crossroads Christian Fellowship and has been active ever since.

Now in her fourth year of a six-year doctorate of physical therapy program, Julie has been elected president of Crossroads. In addition to her demanding course schedule, she is in Duquesne’s Honors College and is Vice President of the Best Buddies organization on campus. And she continues to invest her time in all sorts of ministry activities—from large-group fellowship meetings, a weekly small group and the annual Jubilee conference, to service projects in the Hazelwood neighborhood of the city, retreats, and spring break mission trips to Florida and Jamaica.
