Katherine Sikma serves the CCO as an Area Director in northwest Pennsylvania and as the Development Associate for the Central Region. In this position, she supervises campus staff at Geneva College and Grove City College, and coordinates the development efforts of the Central Region Area Director team.
Katherine graduated from Calvin College in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 2004. Though Calvin is outside the CCO’s geographic area, Katherine met many former CCO staff during her years there. These alumni introduced her to the CCO, and brought her to the Jubilee conference in Pittsburgh. “The CCO’s mission really intrigued me,” Katherine says. “When I looked around the ballroom at Jubilee and saw all the students, I was overwhelmed by the power of the Almighty God, and the potential transformative power in that room.”
Katherine joined staff in 2004, working at Robert Morris University in partnership with Riverdale Presbyterian Church. After graduating from Geneva College with a Master of Arts degree in Higher Education, she transitioned to her current role as Area Director and Development Associate in the spring of 2007.
“College campuses are incubators, and the students in our ministries are being trained and equipped to effect real change on the people, communities, and structures of this world. I do this because I love Jesus. I do this because I love the work he is doing in the world. There’s ultimately nowhere else I’d rather be.”
Katherine lives in the East Liberty neighborhood of Pittsburgh and attends Eastminster Presbyterian Church. She can be reached at ksikma@ccojubilee.org.
