Jonathan Weyer serves as a Staff Director in Ohio, supervising staff who work with college students on campuses in that area. Jonathan first joined CCO staff in 2008 to minister to students at The Ohio State University. Jonathan is the founder of The Thomas Society, a ministry dedicated to answering questions from doubters, agnostics and atheists. Along with the atheists at Ohio State, he won a Multicultural Award from the university. Because of his work with atheists, the Secular Student Alliance added him to their speaker’s bureau.
Jonathan graduated from Covenant College in 1996 with a degree in history, and he earned his Master of Divinity degree from Covenant Seminary in 2001. He is also an author, and his second novel, The Faithful, combines his knowledge of the church and his love for scary stories.
“I am working with the CCO because I think they are positioned to make an impact on how our culture will develop in the next 20 years by ministering to college students,” says Jonathan. Jonathan and his wife, Wendy, are raising three children.
Everybody on staff at the CCO raises their own financial support, including the staff directors. You can support Jonathan or anybody else on our area leadership team by contributing online.
