Lindsey Smyth serves the CCO as Staff Director of Metro Philadelphia, supervising campus staff in that area. Lindsey graduated from Taylor University with a degree in psychology in 2003. She joined the CCO after graduating and served for three years in Erie, Pennsylvania, directing and living in intentional community with Gannon University students, before moving across the state to the Philadelphia area to work at Wayne Presbyterian Church and serve Eastern and Villanova Universities. Much of her work there involved developing trust and respect between local churches and the colleges.
“As a native of this area, I am happy to be serving in Metro Philadelphia,” Lindsey says. “I work for the CCO because I believe that college students need Jesus. They are the leaders of our future and they are making decisions in college which will influence everything else they do for the remainder of their lives. CCO staff come alongside college students and provide wise counsel and encouragement as they navigate through the murky waters of college life. The staff enable students to experience Jesus Christ and, as a result, make choices which lead them to live out their faith in every area of life, both in and after college.”
Lindsey lives in the city of Philadelphia and is excited to be part of what God is doing among metro Philadelphia college students to further his Kingdom.
