CCO Campus Ministry

CCO Board of Directors

McElhatten-board-profile.jpgI believe CCO provides a vital ministry on the college campus as it reaches out to the students wherever they are spiritually—whether they are seeking something that’s missing in their lives, or whether they already know the Lord but desire to grow closer to Him. Students are often disconnected, lonely, and struggling to find their place on the campus and in the world. Within this context, the CCO staff member offers the love and discipleship based upon God’s Word that both teaches and models what it’s like to live under the lordship of Christ.

Since moving to Shadyside in 2004, God has placed upon my heart to use our home for His work when given the opportunity to do so. Living on a college campus, we have easy access to the college students. CCO staff member Megan Balsley and her group of Chatham University students have been meeting in our home for a weekly Bible study for the past several years. It has been exciting to watch Megan at work as she loves and disciples her group! The fruit of her labor—growth—is evident, both spiritually as individuals as well as growth in the number of those attending.
