Tim Gebhart, Jessica Kynion and Lisa Ho are all CCO staff who serve students at OWU. Tim serves as Director of Wilderness Ministry and Jessica works as Assistant Chaplain. Lisa also serves in the Chaplain’s Office, as an associate staff member of the CCO. These positions give them all ample opportunities to interact with students in a variety of settings.
Tim coordinates the annual Freshman Experience, a pre-orientation program for incoming freshman, and he also advises the Outdoor Ministry Team, through which students have opportunities to participate in outdoor adventure activities, weekend and spring break trips, Bible studies, and leadership development opportunities.
Jessica advises the Jubilee team, a group of students who meet every other week to discuss how the Christian faith integrates into all areas of life, as well as to engage the campus in events such as movie discussions. She also facilitates a Bible study and book study, drawing together students from different groups on campus to learn and wrestle with hard questions. Jessica leads a number of backpacking trips throughout the year and also interacts with the outside community in an inner-city area of Columbus through participating in a tutoring program with OWU students.
