Angela Pontorero works with students at Penn State Mont Alto from many different backgrounds. She helps the students of the campus Christian group, SWAT (Spreading Wisdom and Truth), to deepen their relationship with God on a weekly basis by leading Bible discussions, bringing in speakers, and spending time together regularly. SWAT meets on Thursday nights at 8pm in Emmanuel Chapel.
Anglela meets with a three-student executive board to plan the weekly SWAT meetings. She also spends time with students who are seeking answers. Sometimes they read Scripture together, study a book, or just sit and chat.
Angela works closely with local churches connect students to various places of worship. Community members pray faithfully for the campus, and others get involved by providing scholarship money to students to help them attend the CCO’s annual Jubilee conference.
The ministry at Mont Alto is growing, and God is moving there. You can find Angela in the Campus Life Office in Conklin Hall. She can’t wait to see what God has in store for the future!
