Situated on 187 acres, the Temple University Ambler Campus is located in the north suburbs of Philadelphia. Originally a horticulture school for women, it has kept its original focus the Landscape Architecture, Community Planning, and Horticulture majors. Due to the transient nature of the commuter campus, Temple Ambler has had a difficult time building community among the students and having consistent clubs on campus.

In 2004, Jerry Fourroux stepped onto campus and began to meet students. On his first few days on campus, Jerry met a number of Christian students who wanted to be a light to their campus. Soon, a Bible study was being held in the dorms. A year later, the club Jubilee was formed and has continued to serve the campus. After Jubilee’s first year as an organization, they were given the Russell Conwell Award for excellent service to the campus community.

Today, Jerry and his wife, Hesed Fourroux, continue to reach out to students. Jubilee has a weekly Bible study on campus, and we are active participants on campus with involvement in Earthfest, Welcome Week, the Christmas Program and other events. In the fall and spring, we have an ultimate Frisbee night and we sponsor an annual Worship Concert each year.

Jubilee students have participated in alternative spring break trips to New Orleans for Katrina relief and have worked with Habitat for Humanity. Each semester, we seek to serve the community by volunteering at local soup kitchens and clothing and food drives for those in need.
