CCO staff member Scott Szabo works at Ursinus College, focusing on meeting students and helping them to discern their specific gifts and talents. Through this process of discipleship, as well as invitations to participate in Bible studies, book and film discussions, lectures, community service programs and many other activities, Scott hopes that they will realize the work of God in the world around them and he encourages them to assume a place in the story God continues to unfold. The hope Scott holds for students is that they will be “in the world, but not of it,” that they will be active participants in the communities they live in, in roles of leadership, doing revolutionary things to promote the Christian virtues of compassion, love, forgiveness and justice in the larger societies they are engaged in.
