CCO staff member Andy Smith serves as the Pastor of The College Church at the Morgantown, West Virginia Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. College Church is a church service on Sunday evenings at 6 p.m. with an emphasis on welcoming spiritual seekers, building them up and training them in their faith, and then sending them upon graduation to serve the Lord Jesus in the local church, wherever it may be that He calls them. College Church reaches out to the students at West Virginia University and seeks to ground them in their relationship with God through solid biblical teaching. As such, we offer several Bible studies during the week and preaching in the Sunday evening service. As outreach, we have weekly basketball and “Smitty Day in the Lair,” which is an office day in the student union for CCO Staff Andy “Smitty” Smith. Andy also disciples several students and puts his counseling background to good use when appropriate.
Nicki Carpenter also works with WVU students in partnership with Trinity Episcopal Church in Morgantown. She spent several years working with the CCO at WVU before taking a four-year hiatus, and is excited to connect with students again, lead Bible studies, and engage in one-on-one mentoring relationships.
