The CCO has had the privilege of partnering with Westminster College for almost 30 years. This long history has included many great opportunities to work with with students, faculty and staff. Even at a church-related school like Westminster, students face many of the issues that most students face in college: pressures, challenges, questions of faith and decisions about their future, to name just a few. As a team of CCO staff workers on this campus, we connect with students through many different contexts, and we have the opportunity to speak into many of these issues because of the relationships that we build with students.
The Chapel Office has done a good job of running all campus ministry programs, giving opportunities for leaders to communicate what is happening in different programs. Amanda Ansorge and Chrissy (Valentine) Hayes work with the Titan Traverse program. Titan Traverse is a leadership development program that uses adventure education as a platform to reach students. The climbing wall is open for students to use each Tuesday and Thursday from 8-10pm. Tom Rapchak works alongside the faculty adviser with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter on campus. In our different roles, we find that we have many contexts to meet with and be in relationship with students on campus.
