CCO staff workers Billy Ferrell and Becki Laird minister to students at York College of Pennsylvania. York College is an institution that cares deeply about nourishing the well being of their students. Because the whole person is their aim, they are committed to providing the best possible opportunities for students to grow—even religious programs.
While Becki is Associate Staff with the CCO and works full-time for a local church, Billy conducts ministry through a partnership with Chapel Church. Our goal is to work with students and staff to seek ways to reach students who are not currently being reached through established clubs and activities, to act as representatives of the local church, and to enrich the community of York College.
We are currently working in co-operative partnership with the campus chapter of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship to provide community service opportunities in the City of York for York College students. It is also our prayer to use this partnership to build relationships with students and engage them in open and honest dialogues about domestic and global justice issues facing the current generation. Our hope is to encourage students to think about these issues with a Biblical worldview and to challenge them to use their faith, intellect, passion, and resources to make a difference in the world.
