The CCO’s Commitment to New York
Western New York is new territory for the CCO. Currently, we serve on just one of the 309 colleges and universities in New York: Elmira College. That leaves 308 campuses and more than a million college students who have little or no campus ministry access. On these campuses, students make decisions about their values, vocations, and relationships that inform and shape their lives forever.
In a region that struggles to retain its best and brightest students, CCO staff workers encourage students to understand both their call to service in the Kingdom and their potential impact on local communities.
Our Goals
The CCO in New York will…
- bring New York more full-time campus staff through local churches, colleges, and organizations.
- develop partnerships in Buffalo and Rochester.
- host partner receptions and networking events.
- inspire local community members, foundations, and businesses to invest in local college students.
