
West Virginia is home to 30 institutions of higher education, where this year 78,500 students are enrolled in classes. 73% of students graduating with bachelor’s degrees stay in West Virginia to work or continue their education.
West Virginia ranks in the top 20% nationally for high school graduates starting a four-year degree; however, West Virginia is in the bottom 5% for those degrees being finished within six years.

CCO staff in West Virginia are committed to helping students connect their faith in Jesus Christ to their vocational calling, first in their role as college students, then in their careers, families, churches, and communities. CCO staff currently work on two campuses in West Virginia, where their focus is on student leadership development through leadership teams of church ministries and resident assistant staff in college residence halls.
West Virginia is in need of a generation of leaders who will stay in their state, not because they have to, but because they want to do the redeeming work of the Kingdom of Heaven in Almost Heaven, West Virginia.
