CCO staff members who work for colleges serve in positions that put them in direct contact with students, such as student services, residence hall directors, the chaplain’s office, the athletic department, and service learning.
Our college and university partners enjoy the following advantages by working with us:
- CCO staff workers receive the latest leadership development training for college students.
- Because of our extensive network, the CCO is able to find many strong, highly motivated potential staff people.
- The CCO shares funding: the college or university is responsible for half of the funding for the position, and the CCO will facilitate raising the balance of the staff person’s financial needs.
- There is mutual agreement upon a job description. Our staff members are accountable to a job description that is developed, approved and overseen by both a CCO Staff Director and an institutional supervisor. Both supervisors must agree to these specifics before a position is finalized.
- Supervision responsibilities for each staff person are shared between the college or university and a CCO Staff Director.
- There is no obligation to hire a staff person unless the school is completely satisfied. Both the CCO and the institution must agree upon the person to whom they offer a position, and that person is then free to accept or decline the position. This creates a positive and mutually-desired placement outcome.
