I have been living in Bellingham, Washington for three years now. It’s very green… Recently I self-published my first children’s book, called Simone Goes to the Market: A Children’s Book of Colors Connecting Face and Food.
My husband, Glenn Griffin, and I are living in Uniontown, Ohio, and I am currently serving Mount Union College as an Assistant Professor of Religion. I have just signed a contract with Wipf & Stock publishers to have my dissertation published in the coming months.
I’m on the verge of completing my Master’s of Fine Arts in sculpture from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I recently curated an exhibition in Chicago investigating the dynamics at play at the intersection of religion and contemporary art. Our family (wife Karen and three-year-old daughter Anna) has decided to stay in Chicago, and Karen is intending on returning to dancing full-time.
Since we moved to New England some friends from Philadelphia and Denver have called us “traitors.” Others have called us names that can’t be shared in a Christmas newsletter.
