Fall Break & Weekend
Destinations: Philadelphia • PA: Allegheny National Forest • PA: Laurel Highlands • West Virginia
Join us for 1-3 nights over 3-4 days for immersion into various experiential activities. The chance of significant additional time builds upon what single day programs have to offer. The opportunity is created to pursue focused goals and issues at a greater depth.
In addition to the adventure activities for the single day programs, multi-day activities provide opportunities for wilderness camping (i.e. backpacking, canoeing, etc). Most of these designed experiences utilize one or more of the single day adventure activities in the context of a multi-day program. For example, in the midst of a four day backpacking trip, one group may opt to include a rock climbing and/or cave exploring adventure.
One of the exciting ministry elements that multi-day programs offer is the opportunity to be more fully immersed into the life of your students. The chance to put yourself completely before those to whom you minister or teach. Such a position of vulnerability before students is a golden moment for being an “incarnational” presence in their lives. It is the chance to be more fully known and to know more fully. It is at this level of dwelling together that provides insight into the presence of God working and seeing the gospel at work in the flesh.
The possibilities are endless for creating and integrating experiential education opportunities. Designing an experience that will be an encouragement to your ministry is what this resource is all about.
