California: Joshua Tree National Park
Joshua Tree boasts a unique desert landscape with an even more unique variety of animals and plant life, such as the Joshua Tree, for which it was named. Tall granite outcrops make the park a perfect rock climbing destination, especially during winter and early spring, when easterners are drawn to southern California’s year-round mild temperatures and sunshine.
