CCO Campus Ministry

CCO staff member Jonathan Weyer first joined staff to reach out to students at The Ohio State University. He currently serves as a Staff Director, overseeing the ministry of our Ohio campus staff members. Jonathan earned his M.Div. from Covenant Seminary in 2001.

The church needs to reach out to college students, but how? It’s a question I asked myself many times in my ten years of ordination.

I realized that God answered that question by calling me to campus ministry in the CCO. I believe the center of the church world should be the local church and the CCO works with the church to fulfill that mission. Plus, the CCO allowed me the flexibility to reach students who had doubts about their faith.

Through the CCO, I’ve been able to transform students with the transformative power of the Gospel in every aspect of their lives. It’s been truly stunning to see what God has done and is doing in the CCO. I would challenge any ordained minister with a call to campus ministry to find a better situation.
