CCO Campus Ministry

I fell in love with the CCO on my first visit to a Staff Seminar as a prospective staff person. As I listened to the conversations around me, I felt the peace and power of God so strongly. I knew He was present there, working through the people He had called together to do the amazing work of transforming college students to transform the world. As I immersed myself in the CCO community for those two days, I heard God calling me to join them.

That was three years ago, and I’ve never for a moment doubted my call to the CCO. It’s the staff community that keeps me energized to do this work. One of our core values is that faithfulness is pursued together, and it is a big reason that I’m still on staff. When we pray, cry, worship, labor, and celebrate together, I am reminded of the words of the Apostle Paul in Hebrews 12:

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud  of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.”

I am surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. They are a constant encouragement to me, and I take great pleasure in doing ministry with them. My fellow campus ministers are amazing people, and together we are building the Kingdom by transforming students’ lives.  There is nowhere else I’d rather be.
