Working for the CCO provided me the type of experience that would have taken me five to six years to get in a for-profit business setting. I learned how to manage my time efficiently while working on multiple projects simultaneously, how to project and implement goals each fiscal year, and how to do a lot with limited resources common in most nonprofits.
By far, the most valuable experience during my time at the CCO was the one-on-one attention I received from other professionals who were able to help stretch me personally and professionally. As a result, I ended up moving into a job that I technically didn’t have enough work experience for, but I got it because I had learned so much and had done so many different things in the few years that I was at the CCO.
I am confident that the CCO has provided me with some of the best foundational work experience that I could have received coming right out of college.
