CCO Campus Ministry

Home / Work for Us / Why Join CCO? / Training Program

When you are selected to become a member of the CCO staff, you accept the privilege and assume the responsibility of participating in our extensive training program. This program continues throughout your entire time on staff and involves formal study as well as practical implementation. You will be nurtured both personally and professionally throughout your time on staff.

Before you begin your campus work in the fall, you will participate in an intensive five-week new staff training program designed to lay the foundation for your ministry. During that time, you and other incoming staff will participate in courses designed to enhance your theological and theoretical understanding of ministry.

Throughout your first year on staff, you will meet regularly with a Training Team of fellow new staff members and experienced CCO veterans. As a team, you will work through a curriculum designed specially to help you excel in your work, applying it to your life and ministry. Three times during the academic year, you will join the entire staff for Staff Seminars—refreshing times of fellowship and teaching which motivate us all for our continued work on campus. At the beginning of each academic year, the entire staff comes together for Summer Institute, an intensive training time.

You may also choose to begin your master of higher education or seminary degree at a significantly decreased cost while working with us, if you participate in one of our graduate programs .
